- Herzog August-Bibliothek Wolfenbüttel: Kataloge und Datenbanken including the library catalogue and their Aufsatzdokumentation - a database of periodical articles on all aspects of Enlightenment and early modern culture. Detailed search instructions are given - you'll probably need them!
- Österreichische Dissertationsdatenbank all dissertations submitted at universities in Austria since 1990, freely searchable until December 1997 - but is still available (July 1998) DEAD LINK
- Allegro-Kataloge im WWW list of searchable databases which all use the same search software (Allegro). Includes library catalogues, bibliographies etc.
- Nordrhein-Westfälische Bibliographie (Follow link to "Produkte und Dienstleistungen") Periodical articles, books, book chapters etc on NRW since 1982, searchable by place, author, subject etc.

- Datenbank ARIADNE Searchable database of book chapters and articles on women's studies held in the Austrian National Library. Contains over 14,500 records (July 1998)
- Internet Movie Database includes c. 3000 German films, giving studio, director, artist information etc
